So I got the FMF Power Bomb today... pulled off the stock header, slid on the Power Bomb... and it appears that it doesn't fit right.

The end for the slip on is sitting real close to the midline of the bike... about 1/4" from the spring coils. And it appears that once the slip on is attached that it will not clear the air box. I already sold the Two Bros slip-on and the FMF Q4 has not yet arrived to try the fit.

I remember reading about some fit issues with the Power Bomb, but could not find anything from searching.

Advice or input?

 

I don't know how much the 09's differ (at all?) but here's how it went on my 07. Fit and finish is perfect.

 

I dont know what the difference is between slip-ons, but FMF website lists part 042156 for the 06-07 and part 042173 for 2009.

The Power Bomb header for 06-07 and for 09 are both 042155.

So it appears the header is the same but the slip-on is different.
