I read somewhere that on a kick start ttr125 they would take off 20oz. but on the e'start model they would only take off 16oz. I wonder if the e-start flywheel just didn't have enough meat as the kick start one, or if actually being e-start had something to do with it. Could be something to think about if you find some specs for the klx300 flywheel.

Well, if it's like an outboard flywheel, no effects at all unless you alter the magnets in the flywheel.
