flush mount signals

Thanks EMS, thought that was a Moose on the back of your bike, also sent some info on motocross racing in the 70's. We will see what happens in this post. I am a new member not been on a bike in 30 years and have a new 07 KLX 250S. Love it, just need all the mods posted here. Have the Two Brothers in the garage. I was the 1972 State Champ riding a YZ 125 Yamaha.

FYI on the acerbis handguards/ blinkers... they are not very bright at all.........i have seen them on a few bikes..... very hard to see, and most people wont be looking there for signals..... thats why i left the stock fronts on... the backs were in the way and i bent them a few times and said they gotta go..... so i mounted the flush ones so they wont get damaged......
I agree 100%. I really want to replace the front blinkers but I am worried about the aftermarket lights not being bright enough. I also replaced the rear blinkers because I broke the left tab that connects the blinker to the rack. I went with flush mounts in the rear as a temporary solution until I get the fender I want.

+1 on the dodge deej, i'm starting to think that you are my long lost brother.
I've got that acerbis tail light plate mount, but my rack doesnt fit over top of it. What did you guys do? I cant slide it down any further because of the cavity from the OEM tail light.

And that would be me to the left,.....
I thought about loosening them but it would leave about an inch of "looseness" and any force on the rack will probably break the light. I think now after looking at mine i may have a slightly different one than you guys. I thought about just cutting off the middle bars of the rack, that way the light could go through. but i think its more trouble than its worth. and i'm sure i'll break the light one day anyway.
i was down riding in FL and i went down and the rear rack hit a tree, there were bark marks on it.... and it didnt break the light...... im sure its possible though......
Here's my solution for the front blinkers... I know, not that stylish, but I don't worry about them breaking and they're plenty bright.

And just a quick Hiya! to all the 'newbs' on this forum. A lot of new people in the last few months. Rocking!

the acerbis signals come with 5-watt bulbs..someone gave me info on hlogen bulbs at Radio Shack..they worked for a while, but then my bulbs kept falling out the rear of the lights...only to find out the bulbs get so hot they melted the plastic that the harness is supposed to press into...so I found incandescent 18-watt bulbs at Canadian Tire, but had to drill out/cut away some plastic to allow them to fit into the light housings, but now they work great...just a lot of d*cking around to get to this point
I just put flush mounts on my bike. They are actually clear, made for the GSXR, to fit in the recessed hole of the stock signals. I mounted them on the lisence plate assembly where the original little round reflectors are. Looks pretty good I think. Pretty stock looking. I also took off the rack, which looks better with that off as well.
I may get pics up later or tomorrow
