This goes on and on and on and on.... No roos, just the occasional bear in the water crossing you need to go through

Buzz, we have those low sections of trail here in WA too, maybe you're in WA. The good news is that they are wide like that because they were old jeep trails. The bad news is that the jeeps leave a pair of ruts to slide off into when you're trying to go down the center. Your bike just falls out from under you. It is nice when you can pull through though, these puddles keep out the wimps.

Guys, I get a little tired of hearing that the KLX isn't safe on the highway or at high speed. I run mine wide open for hours at a time and hit 100 indicated alll the time, the bike is safe and reliable. It isn't a 1000cc sportbike but it's not a minibike either. The KLX can exceed the speed limit in every state and won't break if you do your basic maintenance. Kawasaki's engineering is excellent and they have a well-deserved reputation for bulletproof engines. Get on and ride the damned thing. Maybe go to Vegas like I did or ride to Cabo with a buddy. Small bikes do big trips and people will be amazed, but you won't be, because it's easy.

Agreed. I've never hit 100 (and never will) but my commutes are a 60 mile round trip with most of it in a 65mph stretch of highway. Over 2 years of KLX ownership and 13,400 miles, the bike keeps on giving. You can go from tight trails with roots, rocks, downed trees, 'huffing and puffing' hill climbs, mud and muck. Then hit up the highway at 70mph on the way home. Love it.

Mike
