Made a point not to post a question (though I about wore out the search function) until I tried every possible troubleshooting procedure and sure enough, I'm happy to report that as of this morning the KLX idles properly(2.5 turns out, not the 1.25 I originally mistakenly counted), and no longer leaks fuel out of the hoses form the primer switch.

Thanks to everyone that posts pictures, tutorials and questions here because I learned from them all. The only 2 cents I can add is to have a few zip ties around because a few of the hoses are getting a little old and need a little something extra to get a good seal (looks at little blue hoses from primer switch).

I'd go for a ride but I might be trapped in DC because of inauguration.
