all this talk about air filters got me thinking of oil filters. do they warrant a new thread or can we discuss here too?

I have found the following for a 2007:
*Wix 24944
*Fram CH6015
*Napa 4944

I'm leaning towards the wix or napa for my next change. Are there any other options?

The fram oil filter comes with an o-ring. Don't know about the others.

Dealer prices are rediculous for their filters....

At best, I think that's questionable logic, but regardless, Can-am motocross bikes came with K&N filters out of the factory, and their motors outlasted almost everything.

Well, I went with the wix which I was able to get from the local autoparts store. It was 6.99 and came with a new o-ring. Seems a little steep for what it is AND IT WAS MADE IN CHINA

oh well
