Default Fatbars, I got em!

I put a set of Renthal Fatbars on my 07. I went with the CR High bend and Moose adapters with a 30 mm rise. It took a while to figure out the cable routing, but I finally got everything. The throttle and brake were fine, it was the clutch cable and the switch clusters that were the most difficult. I could use a longer clutch cable but it's ok for now. I cut those pins off the switchgear with a Dremel and used a wrap of duct tape on the bars to keep the switches from slipping. Good old duct tape, always comes in handy!

I went for a little dirt ride tonight at the Lefthand Canyon OHV area. I like the bars. They feel just about right for me. Now I need some more dirt-worthy tires. I aired the Distanzias down to 20 psi (about as low as I dare go with all those rocks) and they were ok, but they're really more of a street tire.

Duct tape if it is moving and it's not supposed to. WD-40 if it isn't moving and it is supposed to.
Those Fatbars should be a 1000% more durable than the stock bars.

Here's a photo. Not on the trail, just in my driveway. It's dirt though.

The bars in the the mock titanium color. They call it "Tanium". Looks good I think. The new bars are really light too. I couldn't believe how heavy the stock bars are! They feel like they're filled with lead. Let's see - too low, they bend easily, they're boat anchors, and attaching handguards is a pain with those welded end plugs. What's not to like, LOL. I liike the new bars.

Haven't decided on brush guards yet. I left the cheesy stock handguards off. I like the nice clean open look, but if I decide to try some single track I'd better get some barkbusters on there.

I have a pair of Ken Sean dual sport mirrors instead of the stock lollipops. You can fold them out of the way for dirt riding and they don't stick up as ridiculously high as the stock mirrors. I like them.

Default Bars

righteous set up. Thinking about doing something similar. I just dont know which bend etc to get. Nowhere here has hardly anything in stock to compare to so I dont know what to get! Those look great.
