Default Fanny bag Mod

Here they are. I personally love the look without the tool kit. I have to say, in order to make it fit I had to replace the interior tool bag with a regular Ziploc baggy. It may also be harder to access your tools but I probably wouldnt know what to do with the tools even if I needed too. I dont think there will be any clearance issue with the top of the tire and the tool bag.

Hmmmm my first thought was how are you gonna clean that thing. I hate a dirty toolbag.

Wow! did I just say that?

What happens when you bottom the rear suspension?

The tools rip thru the bag & explode the rear tire.

Yeah I thought about doiong this but as others have stated, at fully-compressed, the rear tire is gonna suck that up and destroy at the very least the bag and scatter your tools, or worse, rip up your rear fender.

Here's what I suggest (and I'm about to do) Fold up your paperwork and put it in your Camelback along with the tools, and if you don't wear the Camelback, put the paperwork in your wallet. Ditch the bag. The only tool I ever use is the wrench to take my mirror off at the trailhead.

Nothing has happened so far but apparently I'm not jumping the same size jumps (or any for that matter) as you guys are. I'm very new to riding and even more new to riding off road. So I'll save those huge jumps for you guys and I'll just keep riding without the fanny bag.

I'm curious to know what is the maximum compression distance these things have. I mean the tool kit is no more than 3 inches tall. So if all you guys are "bottoming" the rear suspension are you just missing the fender? Do you actually hit it?

I've never bottomed the suspension even with all that stuff I took to Canada. Add that to what I weigh, I guess I'm not jumping far enough, and thats just ok with me.

That would last about 45-50 seconds on my bike
