they do make a tape measure that is in tenths of feet... so a foot would be divided into 10, and goes down to hundreths.... almost looks like inches until there is only 10 in a foot... lol.... its called an Engineering tape measure.

i just use a converting program... but when u get into decimals of mm.... gets a little hairy.

Yeah its dumb. The architects used to turn up at our place with the plans all marked out in feet and inches with decimals of this and that. I can tell you it really is a BFPINTA. DOH!

spkgo, i was in Alaska two summers ago, stood right where you are on the Knik and watched some lady roll a quad onto herself in a small pond, its was crazy, i had just broken my ankle in Seward hiking, thinking back i would have loved to had my bike up there, it would have been way easier to pass all the RVs in the summer, haha

I don't recognize that particular view, but I saw you were from Jersey and thought that had to be the famous Pine Barrens in the background. I had the pleasure of riding up there Memorial Day Weekend '07 with many members of this fine forum - the NE Ride, we called it. We were guided by a few fellows who were very familiar with the area and shows us some darn fine riding. I still think about how fun that was and want badly to go back.

Even if that view is not of the Pine Barrens, it still looks awesome. I'd love to join you sometime, my friend! I think my wife would shoot me if I went on another bike trip this year, though. I think I've used up my allotment of weekend trips for this year.
