.

Yes, I get it 5gal at a time for my chainsaws, etc. The ethanol ruins rubber fuel lines and primer bulbs. 100LL is actually 100VLL (very low lead) most places now. Really good stuff.

If anyone wants to trade for a skidplate, or a Q4 exhaust.....

I have a Kolpin 1.5 gal fuel can with the bracket that fits the 06/07 KLX rear rack. Like new condition. Fits like a glove.

Default Acerbis Tank

Does the Acerbis 3.7 gal tank only have one gas outlet?

If so how do they work the fuel/reserve thing?

Default Acerbis tank

Was able to get some more info and now I understand it.

The petcock and tank fuel outlet/mount are one piece with the petcock being fed by a tube within a tube for on/reserve.

Sounds like you got it. Some fuel remains in the right side wing that won't reach the petcock. Not much when riding bumps where it sloshes around, but maybe about 0.5 gallons or a bit less when riding easy slab. To get at this fuel, tip the bike over to the left and pour from the right to left side (and put on another 20 miles or so, as I've done before). Others have installed fuel pumps with hoses to get all the fuel out without tipping over.

I made some 2.5 gal container holders for my Canada trip, but I never put gas on the muffler side. I was too nervous.

But that was for the trip to nowhere on Vancouver Island, for my regular trips around here, I just throw two of the 33 oz bottles in my camelbak, and two of the 22 oz in the pelican 1200 box.

You should really use bottles designed for gas. Drinking bottles may not hold up. Although I did have to change the o-rings on all 4 but that was dry rot from the air.

the msr fuel bottles arrived today...the opening is quite small...hope the gas pump nozzle fits inside...if not, might need to fabricate a gas funnel...
