But it will still be hot enough to seriously burn at the head pipe and the muffler will still also be hot enough to cause injury too if at full operating temperatures.

In my bike (after rejetting with the Dynojet kit) now I can touch the Powercore 4 muffler with my hand after a short ride or after several minutes warming up and it is not enougth hot to cause burn injuries for a short contact. Before the Dynojet it was imposible, even several times the passengers backpack parts melted on the pipe.

Definetely extremley hot condition is not NORMAL and for sure it will reduce the engine life. My personal recomendation is to do a carb cleaning time to time and rejetting it if you feel it is running too hot in comparision with other bikes.

Trust me, I faced this problem for more than two years .......

Of course the aftermarket pipes have straight through cores and about an inch and a half of fiberglass - can you say insulation - between the core and the outside can... but hey, that can't have anything to do with it now could it?

Seems some know more than the factories and the high performance tuners. Maybe someone should have called Ryan Villopoto's mechanic and told him Ryan's bike wasn't right...

I'll make that call for you.. Ryan shouldn't have to ride with too much exhaust temp either..

Not for me, I'm thinking Villopoto's mechanics knew what they were doing considering how well he did in the AMA Supercross and Outdoor Motocross series.

I wonder how panicked people would be if they ever used their rear brakes to this point:
