Engine woes, Crankcase splitting!

Thanks for the links... I have a workshop manual, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten nearly as far as I have.
I should be able to pick up all the generic bearings in town. I'm thinking I might just get the mechanic to split the crank case for me if I can get back on (and more importantly, off) the road faster. Ran into him the other day, he got kind of worried when he thought I was planning on bringing him all the parts and asking him to reassemble the whole thing for me. Lol. First I'll try and have a bit of a look around for a cheap flywheel puller...
The KLX300 engine would be nice, I'll enquire as to the shipping. Probably end up quite expensive because of the weight though, is my guess.
