Thanks for pointing that out. I wonder if the different numbering systems are related to anything specific or if DJ marketing just decided to come up with their own system to sell more jets.

I almost went with a N1TC needle with associated clip/washers, and a few Keihin main jets. It was about the same price for the DJ kit when including shipping so I went with the DJ kit since it had more jets to play with.

I'm not looking to make the KLX into some kind of power monster, I know that's just not going to happen. I just want some more pep and a little better throttle response so I can get the front up over logs and other obstacles easier.

I changed everything out last night in about an hour and a half. I couldn't go test it though since it was raining out.

 

Hi and welcome to the forum. While I have no idea how to jet when the bike is breathing through a snorkel and a stock exhaust, I do know that you will get a big boost by doing the MCM on a stock 2012 KLX 250s.

 

i used part no: 1007-0366 which is specifically for klx250sf...moose kaw 09-10 klx250sf...vn-p# mq2182.001....includes main jet dj112, 116, 120, 124, 128, 132...fuel needle dno228, e-clip de0001, two adjusting washers dw" 0001, slide spring dsp0027, plug drill dd 5/32 & screw ds0001

they have 1007-0320 which is specifically for klx250s...i honestly don't know what parts are different in this kit...exact parts are not listed on website (i couldn't find)....

can people list exactly what parts were included in their kits with the kit part number?

 

good job on the DJ kit, you wont regret having all the bits and pieces in a nice plastic box free stickers are always nice too

I suspect you will want to do something more to the bike than just jetting if you wish to vault over logs etc.. Look at the Marcelino Cam mod as suggested by KLXster.. and a big bore....
