Dunlop 606
I know people have been posting a bit on a tires, but there are so many choices. I'm looking at the Dunlop 606 50/50 tire. Will it wear out just as fast as the stock. I do ride a ton on the road.
I would like to find a cool rear tire that looks fairly aggressive but will last 3000 miles or more on the street.

Um correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think the Dunlop is a 50/50 tire, its more like an 80/20. I have almost 1000 miles on my Dunlop 606 and I love it. I think it is wearing exactly the same as the stock Dunlop 603.
Check out the Bridgestone thread

Seems like a great tire and with a little searching it can be found at reasonable prices. This will be my next set of tires, at about 4000 mile life span.

Try Kenda K270 or Bridgestone TW302.

I thought that the 606 was very similar to the stock 603 but it was a harder compound enabling it to last longer. But now it seems like you guys are stating that it will only last as long as the stock 603s. Is this correct? If so I will probably look at something else as the 606 are pretty pricey compared to many other alternatives.
I just put the 606 on the rear after 3,300 mi. I wanted to have a match for the front until it wears out then maybe I'll try something different then. It would be nice to get around 4,000 - 4,500 miles out of a rear tire but maybe thats just asking too much.
