RE: Dual Sport News Story
Brian,
Thanks for the kudos. It was a blast to do that story. Most articles are a bit more technical in nature and that's good from a DIY standpoint. My point was to highlight the most important factor in our improvements, the people who love what they do and are willing to share...not unlike many of those on this forum. Sure, the professionals get paid, and well they should. The guys and gals in the story stood out as prime examples of the kind of folks we like doing business with. The others, like who I've heard have worked on Eric's bike for example, might not get such great press or word of mouth. It will catch up with them if they stay on the track they're on. On the other hand, some are slow to get it, but eventually do come around. Like a recovered alcoholic, sometimes they make the best allies in the end, so it's fair to give them a little latitude...but not too much. My purpose is to do two things. One, I want to recognize those who deserve the credit. Two, I hope that in some small way, articles like this might challenge the rest to do a little better. Just a grain of sand in the mix, but it's something. And of course the rad bike is nice too.

I don't know of a formal sign up for the Clayton ride, but you can throw in on the forum if you'd like. The complete thread, three pages in all I think, can be accessed here. Y'all come!

Shadetree, that was a great article! It makes me wantto dothat to mine. He went all out the the cams, carb, port & polish, and the big bore kit. And to top it off he had a Muzzy. Very nice. I'll bet it pulls really hard and wheelies nicely.
There was an article in there last month that has some of the places I like to ride in North Georgia. It was a great read! It made you want to get out there and ride the same trails he did. The guy had an old KLR 250.
