Default Dual Sport News Story

Hey, Guys,

I've been off on another, yes, I'll say it, "Harley Trip!" My KLX suspension is at Four Stroke Works with Jerry Leighton where he will lay on hands to make it better. The Harley trip was one to end all complaints for most of us. My 72 year old mother rode on back for 4200 miles from Oklahoma to Canada and back again by way of Glacier National Park, Arches in Utah and all in between. She did this without a peep other than the occassional "Would you slow down a bit on the curves," comment. But that's not my reason for the posting.
Our KLX 331 story, "The Passion Behind the Power," was published in Adventure Motorcycle/Dual Sport News, the August issue. http://www.dualsportnews.com/recent.html, for those who might want to check it out. DSN is a small national publication, dedicated to our sport. It might be worth a subscription if you're interested. Be sure and ask for the August issue when you subscribe. Tell the publisher, Tobin Lampson, that you're a friend of mine.

Enjoy...

No, sorry. Unfortunately, it's a subscription only kind of publication. It takes a minute to subscribe, but it's nice to find it in the mailbox when it comes.

By the way, Eric. I'm sure sorry to hear about your bike. I guess it's time to throw in the towel on that one and try again. I like the KLX 450 idea. I think you'd really have to work at it to bust that bike. No mods needed other than a Baja Designs Street Legal kit and it's quiet too! Can't lose with that one. Best of luck with whatever you choose.

Hey Eric, I have an idea. Buy the 450, slap on a dual sport kit, and throw your license plate on it. I'm just saying. If you get stopped just tell them you bored the motor out and that's why the emblem says 450.

Better yet, just put the 250 shrouds on the 450 with your tag

Hey Bill,
Are you planning on going on the 2007 Ozarks fall color tour? Oct 26th & 27th
I'm hoping to make it down there. I haven't heard anything from Jerry (fishfinder) lately but thats in his neck of the woods.

Hey, Gary,

Ride Oklahoma is having their annual Clayton Dual Sport Ride October 19th at Clayton, Oklahoma. That'll pretty well do me in for a bit. If you haven't firmed up your plans, it'd be great for you to join us down there. There's more info on the Ride Oklahoma website, www.rideok.com. There is a forum with threads and info.
