I have them on both my KLR & the KLX. All have the 2" arms and are plenty long enough.

I used the 2" arm for a while, but prefer the 3". You can see here the mount is a ways in so 2" would probably be fine if the stock mirror mount were removed. I use the Doubletake mostly for trail riding and use other mirrors for street riding.

Bought it at Cycle Gear in their bargain bin. Maybe paid $15 for it. It's not real big however it perfect for smaller stuff.....

The inexpensive Bike Master folding mirror works great too. I've been using it for awhile now with great results. It's a ball-and-socket design that allows you to finitely adjust the tension on the ball. It's a very simple, robust design that I prefer over the bulkier DT mirror. They both work well from seeing both used by other riding buddies, so it probably comes down more to personal esthetics.
