Do You Always Change Filter @ Oil Change?

RE: Do You Always Change Filter @ Oil Change?
I wish I could find oil filters like my wife's bike has, they are a brass screen type, re-usable, all you do it take some solvent and a tooth brush and your good to go. I think you have to be pretty meticulous at keeping an eye on the screen though, but its pretty cool. That reminds me I have one to clean while the other one is in the bike.

Here is a stupid question from a new KLX owner. My bike is overseas and I forgot to pull the oil filter to see what it is. Are there aftermarket auto filters that you use or is it only a Kawasaki part?
cheers.
