Keep trying! I ended up pulling the intake boot (between the carb and airbox), and also moved the rear brake reservoir down out of the way.

Pinch the air box rubber boot, when the boot pulls away from the carb flange twist the carb side ways (intake bell left airbox side bell right when looking straight down at it) & remove straight up. It does take practice...

The left carb screw was easy to take off, but the right one is rounded off..Any other way to take it off?

if you mean the float bowl screws, try a pair of small or needle nose vice grips to crack it loose.

Yeah, I remember I had real issues getting the last screw off - pliers and a real strong wrist gets it off... and remember to get a new screw to replace the burred one!

Unscrew it like a drum head - loosen them all first, and in a star pattern, as in do one corner, then the opposite, then another corner and then it's opposite...

If you do all the screws up again, and do it that way, you might be able to get it off..
