This is one of the main reasons I brought my TR650 Terra bike - the Rotax engine. Such smooth power delivery and heaps of mid range (good for highway riding & overtaking. Mine is the restricted 48hp version for LAMS licensing (58hp full power for unrestricted licence riders).

I felt there was a good chance that KTM would use their engines in the future although this is still unclear.

 

Hey!...the new, July issue of Dirt Rider magazine has a 2-page pic in the Hot Shots section from our Concho Enduro last March. It shows one of the pros roosting up a nasty hill. Funny, the pic caption says he's skipping through the mesquite trees, but there's not a mesquite tree in sight in that pic...all cedars. It's a great pic, though.

Seriously though, ,,That's pretty cool to have a pic of your clubs race in the magazine like that. The big hotshot pics are my favorite part. I saw that pic when i got the magazine but didn't make the connection with your race.
