Default CVK34 vent hoses

Searched a bit and couldnt find the answer.

Does anyone know why there are TWO vent hoses on the stock CVK34 and how they are supposed to be run.

When i got my bike both vents were run downward exiting near the swingarm. Thing is, if you open the carb up, it looks like both hoses vent the float bowl area... so why two?

If so... could you run one hose down and one hose up under your seat to get the same effect as the T-mod? Maybe the 2nd hose does something different that I cant tell.

I will add, at least the 2009 manual does not mention or show the routing or purpose of either of those two vent lines, just a cutoff view of them in the carb diagram

Look in the appendix ch 17. I think the illustration of the hose routing are in there.

They sometimes have 2 carb vent/overflow hoses incase one gets clogged with dirt. I have both of mine routed straight down and out by the swingarm pivot area where all the other vent hoses are.
