Default Custom oil filler plug

Went riding with some friends today, my first real, all day dual sport ride on my new to me KLX. I don't recall doing it but I'm guessing I added some oil before leaving on the ride and I placed the oil filler cap on the bike without screwing it into the hole then I forgot about it. About 50 miles later when I got to our rendezvous spot I got off the bike and noticed the entire right side of the bike was covered in oil from the filler hole on back, the filler cap was missing. I had half a quart of oil I had carried with me just incase and that turned out to be just about the amount that had spewed out of the open hole. Here is the replacement plug my friend whittled for me. It did the job for about 100 miles of riding today but I think I might order myself a oem plug (just for a backup incase I wear this one out.)

I do like the look, I'm thinking when I get a new threaded plug I might trim the stob down to fit and epoxy it on top. I'm going for a hillbilly dual sport chic look. I don't know, seems appropriate for an Arkansan KLX.

Who?

Geez , I'm going to have to Google Euell Gibbons now.

Sounds like he would have eaten the new oil plug.

BTW the wire is not supposed to be on the outside of the frame.

Thanks, when I got the bike the rear break light switch assembly was missing so I replaced with a hydraulic banjo bolt switch, for some reason it seemed to make since to route the wire that way. Maybe it would be less likely to hang on something if I routed it inside the frame.
