I'm new to this website, but not new to Kawasaki's or motorycles. I have a 94 klr250 with 38,000+ miles on it that I have owned for 6 years. I also have a 09 BMW F800GS. Just picked this klx up because you can never have too many bikes!

Future plans for this stock klx are 351 kit, 3.7 gal tank, and other the other usual mods. I really like the looks of the 06-07 klx250 and couldn't pass up this clean one. I'll post pictures in the next few days, Fred.
So is it better than a Harley?

Well he didn't mention anything about it already breaking down on him so I would assume yes it is.

It hasn't broken down yet and it doesn't drip oil on the ground. Thanks for welcoming me to the forum. Looks like a lot of good information on this site.

Default 2003 klx 400!

2003 Kawasaki KLX 400 Suzuki DRZ 400

Nice

2003 Kawasaki KLX 400 Suzuki DRZ 400 - $3000 (Boise)

I am leaving to work overseas and so I am selling most of my toys. I am selling my Kawasaki KLX 400SR and it has been meticulously been taken care of and always been garaged. I have changed the oil after every time I have taken it out. Everything is original and it only has 5140 miles. Motorcycles in excellent condition for a 2003 usually have an average of 18,000 miles. Again I have always washed it and changed its oil after I have used it. I absolutely love this bike and wish I could take it with me. It is sweet because it can go anywhere and it gets great mileage. You could go out and buy a new 2013 Kawasaki KLX450 or 2014 Kawasaki KLX450 for $7500 + or you could save more than half and buy this sweet garaged machine for $3,000! This is actually a bike that was made by Suzuki that year (2003). It is technically a 2003 Suzuki DRZ 400 with Kawasaki colors. 2002 bikes were only 300cc. Brand new tires. This bike has electric start. This is the bike that everyone wants to make a super-moto street bike. It doesn't take many modifications to do this. Obviously that is not what I loved about it. Here are the specifications:

Model: Kawasaki KLX 400 SR 2003
Category: Enduro-Offroad
Type: 398cc, Liquid Cooled, Single Cylinder, 4-Stroke
Bore x stroke (mm): 90 mm x 62.6 mm

Fuel System: Mikuni BSR36
Ignition: Digital CDI
Gearbox: 5 Speed
Final Drive: Chain
Front Suspension: 49mm cartridge-style fork, 14-way compression damping, 18 way rebound damping, 287 mm travel
Rear Suspension: Single-shock link type, Adjustable compression and rebound damping adjustment, 295 mm travel
Rake / Trail: 27.4 degrees / 109 mm (4.3 inches)
Front Tire: 80/100-21
Back Tire: 120/90-18
Front Brakes: single 240 mm disc with 2-piston calipers
Rear Brakes: single 220 mm disc with 1-piston
Overall Length: 2310 mm (90.0 inches)
Overall Width: 875 mm (34.4 inches)
Overall Height: 1240 mm (48.8 inches)
Seat Height: 930 mm (36.6 inches)
Wheelbase: 1485 mm (58.5 inches)

Columbus Ohio area:

Kawasaki KLX250 and NINJA EX500 clean 2009 S
2010 Kawasaki KLX250S Enduro possibly overpriced 2010 S
KLX250 Rare 1979 4 Stroke go "old school" KLX with an air cooled dual shock 79 model for under a grand!

If I had money to blow I'd do the 79 model just because.

Wish that KLX400 would have been around here, I really like the DRz and as said, the KLX was a rebadged DRz400 so no parts problem there.
