Tried the pull test, could only get just barely get a 1/4 of a tooth to show. The front looks just a tad hooked I think. I think I will replace it soon, but at least it's not an emergency issue. Thanks,

Yeah it does jaja, but there all there, 14 of them anyway as came stock. At least that's what I understand from the service manual and this page.

That front sprocket is JUNK! Dump it. Per my thinking it also looks like the rear has a fair amount of wear. It isn't easy to see with a picture though. It just looks like the U profile is worn out of symmetry. The rear will always hook at a slower rate due to having the chain supported by more teeth than the front, distributing the load and thus the wear is lower.

I think someone put a new chain on old sprockets based on the "pull test" for chain wear. Keep running those sprockets and you will ruin the chain due to the irregular loading on the chain due to the worn sprockets. That was what the PO of my bike did. I commented about the worn sprockets and he didn't think they were. I replaced them immediately. He also put on a really cheap non-O-ring chain, which I would not have done and didn't do. I did new sprockets and a new DID O-ring chain.

Both sprockets are worn. Replace them and the chain.
