Sure i've thought about going into the spare parts business, only problem is the Thai domestic market does get ludicrously cheap spares but they are available in only small numbers, basically to supply the people that bought the bikes here not enough for filling shipping containers!! Shame I could make a small fortune.

Same silly prices apply to the 250/300 ninja, er-6n, 650 ninja, 650 versys, z800, vulcan & z1000, zzr1400....all made/assembled in Thailand. Next month we get the 636 ninja & z1000sx here!!

Honda bikes assembled here get the same ridiculously low prices as well.

Yamaha & Suzuki are in the process of getting factories set up for the blossoming domestic & export big bike business here.......exciting stuff!!

I got the numbers Kenny.

4 day registered express post is 600 Bart = $20 USD

7-14 day registered air mail is 200 Bart = $7 USD

Packaging is 30 Bart =$1 USD

Pick which option you want & add the cost of a couple beers & we're in business!! I can then PM you my paypal info. If your concerned about sending me money first, PM GrahamGower & ask him about the full set of plastics & 17inch wheels I posted him.

Just under $5000 USD on the road, that's a good price but it's the spare parts that are really cheap after you buy the bike.

Just in case anyone on this thread is still interested in the retail price of parts made in Thailand for the KLX (D-tracker), here is another example of the cheapness!

I had the convenience of my throttle cable snapping on my driveway yesterday....very lucky place for it to break.

Throttle cable pull (open) Part No. 54812-8227 is 190 Bart = $6.30c usd

Throttle cable return (close) Part No. 54012-0256 is 180 Bart = $6 usd

Sorry to hear the bad news Kenny. That sucks!!

The reservoir I sent you is the generic item for klx S/SF/D-Tracker from 2008-13. Your bike must be one the few Asian models that weren't made in Thailand. I wish you had posted a picture of your reservoir first place but hindsight is a wonderful thing eh! There are a handful of older Japanese & Malaysia assembled klx bikes floating about...that must be the problem.
