"dude", i have trouble understanding anything you say on here. maybe if you talked in regular grammar people could get more understanding of what you're saying. i still have no idea what you meant on your last post. i don't think anyone was whining about the 'factory slug', we were just saying how awesome the big gun is on the KLX. if i were you, i'd swap out the order for your Muzzy for the big gun, it freakin rocks.

i think your intuition & perception is much better than you're claiming it is. As long as your big gun is a complete exhaust & you've run it on the dyno to reaffirm your perception of "freakin rocks" Then post the performance charts. Until then we'll never know if your perception is influenced by the ambient air pressure, the fact that the last jet you slapped in the carb was a challenge or your coffee is kickin in.
Big Gun / Muzzy makes no diff to me - it's the whole package. My slug has and will continue to be modified & charted by a dyno to prove the results until I'm satisfied that it's not a slug.

dyno or not, there's no better measure for performance than seat of the pants. most of us don't have the privilege of having someone else do the work on our bikes and then slap it on a dyno for us to see if a machine tells us we have more power. imo, doing the work myself is almost as good as seeing the result a mod may or may not make.
also, the KLX will always be a slug until a 300 kit or larger conversion is put on it along with a good pumper carb. the exhaust mod, the carb jet/needle mod, airbox, etc. these are desperate attempts to get at least 25-28 horsepower, that's pathetic. but we all love the KLX for it's good looks and it's potential, not for it's torquey engine or wheelie riding power. i look forward to seeing your dyno charts with the muzzy.
also, i don't drink coffee and haven't rejetted my carb yet.

Will all klx300 skid plates work on the klx250s? I'm looking at the "Works Connection" plate in the rocky mt atv mc catalog. I didn't see any skid plate parts numbers on this list. Where are most of you buying them from?
