Colorado Trip Preperations
OK, I'm staying at the RedMtRV park, central headqters. I'll be bringing my Kawa/Time/Giant, heheh, 2 without motors. I'm sure we'll meet somewhere, I like somewhat harder stuff, not really to fast though unless it is pretty smooth. I'll try & load a pic.
Uhoh!...you're driving a minivan? Dude, I'm not sure I want to hook up with you. Mine may look like a minivan, but it's really a crossover SUV according to Chevy...LOL!
On a serious note, what kind of van is yours? That looks like a few pounds to tow there. Yeah, definitely looking forward to meeting you. I won't be hard to identify. I'll be wearing my Alfred E. Newman name tag.

Thad you know her?

I will probably be in Colorado the last week of August and the first week of September, but I may go to Utah or Idaho just to wander around. I really don't care as long as I am not in Nebraska.

Your driving a GM, I won't hold it against you, ha! I drive a KIA, the hitch sits a little low, but it works. It is rated for 3500# towing. Oh & I slow for hills! Don't need a new transmission on the trip, but I am not in a hurry.
I'll be finishing up the bike race in Denver on Aug 26th & headed back to AZ somehow, & again I am not in a hurry so we could meet somewhere west of the divide for a few days if you find anything interesting. I know some ST near Dillon, always wanted to try Grand Junction to Moab, except the trail doesnt go thru in GJ, but could do the Cisco to Moab (although leaving a vehicle near Cisco, looks a little sketchy).
Please take that photo down, we don't need that here! I like Alfred & that is just wrong.

foos...I have a long memory. I've changed my mind about bringing my mountainbike, just for you. Say hello to my little friend.
LOL!...man, that's just wrong. I'm sure whoever has the rights to the Alfred E. Newman image will be contacting their lawyers.

If you make it to Utah, do you know where you'll be riding?
TNC that gun would look perfect on the green KLX, the perfect single track weapon. I got that image off of the Advrider Toxic Brittney thread and based on what I remember from reading MAD I doubt anyone at that magazine/comic book would be offended.
Oh as of yet I really have no idea or plans. If I goto Utah or Idaho it will be primarily for scouting the area to see what I like and what I don't. I ride the KLX for fun and to get to scenic views that I wouldn't want to drive too. I'm fat and out of shape and poorly skilled at riding. However I am moderately intelligent, so I try not to put myself in situations where I am too remote by myself. Therefore I don't do single track (it would have to be real easy). I wouldn't want to have to tackle a road much more difficult than Engineer pass. The only problem I see with Utah and the time frame is that it will be Hotter than Hell, my current residence. Although I have been in the Taylor Park area several times I haven't yet ridden any of the 4-wheel drive roads there.
