i was using the normal motor oil for a while there until i found the proper "fuchs" air filter oil at the local parts store. there is a big difference in the viscosity of the two oils which i think would affect the amount of air actually able to penetrate through the filter (the fuchs is alot runnier). i say spend the extra little bit and you will be rewarded with the results.
