Default Random Though Thread Starting?

I was gonna start a thread call "chitchat" but see there is already one. A random thought popped in. There is a CL bike for sale. A VTX 1300 Honda cruiser. Ad says "good starter bike". I bet somebody somewhere has said the same of a Hayabusa(random thought). Saw a
yesterday where the guy says a VFR750/800 would make a good starter. I remember the very first time I let a bike clutch out with a running engine, back in the dark ages of the 1980s. Almost crashed into the guy's garage. My 1st bike was a 2 stroke 50cc street Yamaha. 2nd bike, a real bike, was a 69CB350 twin. Those were starter bikes. Maybe the europeons are right with their tiered moto license scheme. If this thread hijack is too obscene tell me to start my own.

My '15 M696 is suppose to be the "starter" Ducati - it'll pull beautiful, slow, power only wheelies in first gear! My daughter wanted the Duc.. She now prefers my new Indian Scout.. The Duc just sits now.. anyone want it?

That is a nice bike but the front tire is too small.

Can I borrow it for the weekend?

I'll pass on the HD, you could probably be here tomorrow sometime if you leave now on the 696!

That Duc looks nice, but it is probably as unreliable as my 95 Magna I just put for sale on CL. Will miss Maggie but having her toss me in the weeds one time is one time to many. Somehow I took a hit to the ribs and it still hurts. Besides, I am too broke to buy another bike. Selling Maggie to get a BB351 and some armored leathers. Hey klxster, given my clean looking spark plug and DJ140 @ 2N 70 mpg capability, howz DJ144 sound?

I don't remember this band but just found these guys recently.

Snap, if you have to try a DJ144, certainly use the stock spring, stock slide lift port, and clip on 1N.. You do this to stop/minimize overfueling below 6.5k RPM's . All I can estimate about such a setup is that once your stock header runs outta breath (8.5k-9k) your AFR will ilkely go pretty rich..
