Carb re-jet question by a noob...
I ordered an HMF slip-on for my '07 KLX250. HMF recommends a 125 pilot jet, 40 main jet, an aftermarket air filter and removing the airbox lid.
So, I ordered the 125 pilot (92063-1069), 40 main (92064-1108) and a Uni air filter from my Kawi dealer and I'm having the dealerdo the re-jet. I'm also planning on having the dealer set the air/fuel screw to 2.0 to 2.25 turns.
QUESTION: Is anything else necessary for the carb re-jet? I keep reading that people are replacing needles and drilling and shimming this and that, but HMF didn't recommend anything other than the pilot / main jets and air filter (and they didn't say anything about setting the air/fuel screw).

If you're going to have the dealer do everything, just tell them to jet it properly.
They should know what that means and make any necessary changes to your air/fuel screw in relation to the pilot they use and your throttle response closed to 1/4 open.
If they don't have a clue what you're talking about....find another dealer.
