Default Carb question

I bought the following parts and just had one question.

What is the collar for and exactly where does it go?

I have an 06 and am going to have the parts installed along with a new exhaust and snorkel.

Thanks.

92037-1401 - Clamp, Jet Needle
92143-1667 - Collar

Hey Holly, I don't want to thread jack this but I just wanted to say welcome to the forums. There is a new member area if you want to give us a proper introduction. I would have answered your carb question, except I really don't know anything about it. I had the shop do all my work.

Thank you for the response. My boyfriend did that today. I had a problem starting my bike. He did new jets and drilled out the slide vent and the bike started like it never has before. He also said he noticed a big difference in throttle response. It was way too cold for me to ride it and I know I wont be able to tell but he said he was able to tell the difference.

Welcome to KF. Jetting the carb is the ultimate mod for this bike out-the-box. IMHO its the best 60 bucks (if you bought a DJ kit) you can spend.

PS: Nice signature.
