Default carb question

I noticed on the carb mod posts the picture show a brass spacer , my kit did not come with one,
how important is it, should i look for something to replace it.

I'm assuming your 'kit' is non-OEM like Dynojet or something similar, so someone who has used the Dynojet can chime-in.

All I know is that the N1TC needle comes with a spacer and clip....not sure about the Dynojet or other aftermarket kits. Might they have the spacer built into the needle already?

My dynojet kit came with two washers that were used instead of the spacer. Put the washers where the diagram shows the spacer. I think this is correct but can't remember if I guessed or read it somewhere. It worked fine that way though.
