Default Carb problem?

2009 KLX250 with Bill Blue 351 top end, stock carb. Fresh gas.
Starts and runs on choke but dies when choke is pushed in. Clogged jet? If so best way to fix.
Thanks

Have you contacted Bill Blue for jetting recommendations? What changes have you done since it was last running properly?

It sat for a while, I think the old gas clogged up the jets. I guess I have to take it off the bike and clean out the jets. Not a fun job getting it out.

That's pretty much the normal way a bike works when the pilot circuit is clogged. Runs on choke using the choke circuit as an idle circuit. Turn off the choke, not enough fuel gets through so it shuts down.

Clean the carb. pull the pilot jet, hopefully that's where your clog is. If it's inside the body in the passage it ain't gonna be easy to clean.
