Default Carb Leaking from bottom...Any Ideas???

My float bowl was sticking causing the bike to die out after a few minutes. I took the carb off and got that problem fixed. The bike runs great again. BUT, if the gas is on the carb will leak from the drain tube attached to the bottom of the bowl. I have double checked the screw and its tight.
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue without having to take the carb back off???

Thanks,

Kris

You will have to take the float bowl off again. Sounds like there is something (a grain of dirt / sand will do it) blocking thefloat valveopen (16030 in the pic) and therefore the fuel is flowing out the overflow. Either that or youaccidentally adjusted the float.

If you remove the throttle cables you can spin the carb, see if that helps, to spin it to see the bottom. You might just have to take it off again, why dont you wanna take it off.... its a piece of cake. I had it off and on in 15 mins..... lol.... i know it sucks. but i got good at it..... lol..... id check the float again, it still might be sticking, Finger mullets bike was doing that in FL and his float was sticking and needed adjusted a bit, not sure exactly what fixed it... but it had to do with the float. good luck
