Default Carb Adjustment 2006 KLX 250

Is the idle mixture adjustment screw acessable , I noticed on a parts diagraham there is an adjustment , but lookig at the carb there seems to be like a welch plug covering it , can it be removed and the mixture adjusted ?
Thanks for any suggestions, idle speed is a bit rough.

There should be an idle spd adjuster thumb wheel on a cable coming out of the right side of the carb. The air screw is behind the plug, which will effect idle and running.

The idle screw is on the bottom of the carby. I believe there may be a cover that has to be removed the first time you adjust the fuel/air screw.

The screw is not really accessible unless you remove the carby. You may be able to find luck in twisting the carby sideways to get a screwdriver on the bottom. Pick up a Kouba T-handle fuel air screw which can be accessed in normal condition at any time very easily.

If you're talking about the EPA plug... yes, it can be removed to get at the adjustment screw. Carefully drill a hole in the plug. Make sure you stop drilling as soon as the bit goes through the plug. Find a screw to screw into the hole you just drilled, and twist it sideways to remove the EPA plug. The adjustment screw will now be visible.

I drilled my plug before I removed the float bowl to keep garbage out of the inside of the carb.

serious note. when gas flows into the carb it goes threw the orifice that is either sealed or opened based on the location of the needle float correct? Right now I have my other carb opened up on my wolverine 350CC (quad) and i keep spraying carb cleaner in but it comes right back out the inlet and i cant see where it goes into the fuel bowl.... help?

I can only *guarantee* it will fit an '09, as that's what I have it installed on.
