Can't read instructions
Got my Race Tech Gold valves in yesterday and go online to see my profile. Have 5 minutes to read, understand and print my profile, so I panic. I have 5 minutes to set up a printer (because I'm not at home) and then my rider profile will self-destruct and become part of the space-time fabric of cyber space.
OMG, what do I do? I close the browser. That'll show 'em!
Oh yeah, it's a one time, limited time access to my set-up profile.
Now what? It's 2 am! I know, I'll Google part numbers and set-ups for the next 3 hours and mix up all of the shims that came in the 3 seperate bags for the compression stack, that'll make this task a whole lot easier.. not... So 3 hours of Googling later, I still have no more information on Race Tech shim stack set-ups than I had before, just more mixed up parts, including now the stock shims.
I finally give up at 5:45 am and go home to bed. I call Race Tech today, leave a message with apparently the only technical service technician in a world-wide suspension company. I've now called 3 times and guess what... you guessed it, he's busy!
Go figure! you mean he has other people to call back today? Couldn't be.... There. I feel a little bit better now.

LOL!...now that's a good story told well there.
Seriously though, I thought the RT shim selection and whole process was pretty easy. Yeah, they give you that one time download, but if they didn't, everyone would get a lot of free research on what shims to use. That's where the real "gold" is in a lot of the aftermarket suspension technology companies, especially since shims are fairly generic and available on the open market. When I downloaded my shim stack build for the KLX from them, I just printed it out. I even carry a sheet with me in my gear bag to keep track of their recommended damper settings just to keep things straight when I experiment outside those settings. Did you lose the download or something like that? Yes, they're very protective of that info.

Ya, basically I have no information to work with. I understand the nature of their information secrecy, but in this case, their withholding their customer's information they paid for. Yes, it's entirely my fault, but admitting that doesn't help me right here, right now. I don't expect a call back today, but I hope so. I just want to get my bike back together.
You need to install a pdf printer on your computer, then you can print to the "pdf" and save it on the hard drive. Well, for next time anyway.
Another thing you can do is just do a "print screen", open a word document and paste it in there..... page down, another "print screen", add it to the word document......
that is the pits

I've used "cute pdf writer" for years with good success
Pdfcreator from sourceforge is also good for that but the print screen still works in a pinch.
I am so frustrated right now, I think I'm going to take red Loctite and fill my forks with it. How's that for damping! RaceTech sends me a new online password and it spews out errors for all fields in the worksheet. So I guess I'll stack some random number of shims in no particular order, refill the forks with oil I'll be dumping out as soon as I go for my first ride, and hope for the best. No, really, does anyone have an idea on how to two stack for a 145# 32 yr old rider with half decent skills and aggression? Ok, hold the aggression when doing the calculation, it might suppress eventually.
My riding is Michigan sand, whoops and roots with interlaced rocks. Please advise on your best guesstimate. Thanks.

Step away from the fork parts.
Go for a walk around the block.
Work with Race Tech to get this sorted out (stay calm) (DON"T PANIC!!).
You're in Canada, so I doubt that can use the bike right now anyway.
