Can anyone kick start their KLX?
It's like people are not reading the thread. The bike starts perfect on the electric start, but not on the kicker.
You have one installed too, right? But it will not kick start?

OK, I did read the thread. I see it starts right up with the magic button and that it's pervasive with the kit installs. I just wonder if some circuit gets closed when the start button is pushed that is not being completed by turning the key on. Why I was wondering if you checked to see if you had spark while kicking it over...
Tax, take 30 minutes to pull the valve cover off the top of the head and pull the spring off the KACR. You don't even have to put er all back together, just make sure she's gettin fuel, kick'er fast enough to spread the KACR flyweights, and she'll start right up.. I like chocolates..

Oops.. Ive probably pulled my tank a few hundred times more than most..So maybe more than 30 min for you.. Yep, leave it off and you'll never look back..

While I love the idea of coathanger, paperclips, bailing wire, duct tape, or other various and assorted improper items, being attached to internal rotating assemblies, you'd have to pull out the exhaust cam to git-er-done..
But seriously: Once "unsprung", I'm sure you can kick'er over fast enough to spread the flyweights immediately - with no need to pull out the cam and rig the KACR with household items..
