Cam chain rattling

Too much compression of the audio file. Have the mic right next to the source of the "noise" and up the bit rate to at least 128. Or is the 32 bit rate the output of the recording device?

I hear a pretty tight motor. nothing bad. I would give it some time. Mine sounded like it was going to come apart after I did my 351. The chain finally tightened up.i have marks adjuster but haven't installed it yet'

I'm not sure how to do this but will look into it. I put the mic right where I thought the noise was coming from. It is a standard Olympus voice recorder that I use to record class lectures.

This is next on my list. I doubt my mechanic would mess this up, though.

Why would you doubt it? I have seen many "mechanics" mess stuff up. It's that old saying - "You want something done right, do it yourself"
That's why I don't go to mechanics. Many of them are incompetent, sloppy, and/or just don't give a damn.

I wouldn't make claims like that if I wasn't going to make sure I did my best damn work.

Well hey - good luck!
I've heard the same thing about some mechanics who I wouldn't let anywhere near my motor vehicles.
Not saying he didn't do a great job, just saying not to trust anyone even if you've heard good things. It's always good to at least check for yourself - just to be sure.

Check through the menu. Right now the quality is probably set really low to have a really long recording time. Set quality to the best available option.
