Default Parts?

Hi all,
Dropped my new 250S. Bent clutch lever and gouged a side cover. Dealer wants $24 for a clutch lever I checked at CheapCycleParts.com and Babbitt.com. $3.08 and $4.16 respectively. Unfortunately S/H is $11.74/$14.95. Has anyone dealt with either of these? Any recommendations?

BikeBandit.com and Babbittsonline.com are both OEM parts. They usually take a few days to ship. You may be better off going to lowes and picking a mapp torch. Heat it until it is red hot and bend it back....then you always have a torch on hand.

Cut it, short levers FTW.
So far I like my '09, just put new Dunlop D606s on it and they are meaty. Also added a Ricochet skidplate to my list of mods. Also swapping out the K&N filter for a Twin Air.

Thanks Xplosivo - I'm a tool nut and I'd like to have a Mapp torch. However, I'm concerned about cosmetics. I imagine the lever would show the effects of the repair. I mull it over and thanks again for the great advice.

bought it. took it out the next day and wrecked it on some logging roads at about 50 mph. after that it was all good. its a nice machine, but no powerhouse. i ride it anytime i can. iv'e put 400m on it in a month and half. needs a pipe tho, the putting of the exhaust kills me, ive never owned anything quiet.

Rode Mulholland Hwy. today by myself. So I did'nt push it too hard but was still able to scrape the foot pegs on a couple of curves...
