I am still looking forward to taking mine out.Just a few rides around the property.Definately plan on making some mods to it.It needs to make a little more noise.Dawm Calif and it emisions BS!!!

 

I can't really say nothing bad about it, for where I live in an Urban setting and only a hour away from the mountains, but 10 min from some sweet local spots I can see myself raking up a lot of km's, it has a good cruise speed and everyonee asked me tonight why I put Kawasaki decals on a honda..LMFAO they just can't get over the red, and I love it plus to me looks nothing like a honda JMHO....I have never owned a dual purpose but now I have seen & rode the advantages.....4 lane hwy...I looks left... hey that looks cool...... follow through & start playing in the ditch with all the hills & trees kinda a cool feeling to experiance....

The 09 has a different carburetor.

 

Ok I know i'm old and set in my ways but a kawasakl thats Honda red just is'nt right.It's almost as bad as that pink KTM.

'06-'07: 34mm Keihin CVK
'09: 34mm Keihin CVK
bottom line, SAME CARBURETOR.
If you can prove otherwise, I'd love to see. Last time I checked, my '09 has a Keihin carb that says CVK on the top just like my '06 and your claimed to have KLX.

 

Honda red is a lot darker than the '09 red. The '09 red is called sunburst red, thus it is really close to a dark orange. Nowhere near Honda red.

no, it really does throw a wrench into how you perceive the bike. one really has to see the bike in person with the sun on it. otherwise it probably does look like a honda. but to me, that's alright. the huge kawasaki emblem on the shroud clears any confusion up. that's why I chose the red though, it doesn't look like every other KLX out there now although red seems to be the dominant color thus far.

 

thats why i ride my honda street bike, its not like every other V-Twin on the road...[:'(]

I dig the red...While there wasn't a KLX in green for a direct comparison, there was a bunch of other Kawasaki models at the dealership that gave me a pretty good idea of how it was going to look. And I didn't feel like waiting some undetermined amount of time for a green one to come in! [8D]
