yeah i imagine that to be true. it was a 2009 klx250 in red. clogged carbs with 5k miles on it. guess it got sold for $1500 asking firm.

moral of the story, good deals on these little klx's do come and go just gotta be patient. and even though it "feels" like the majority of the audience has either drifted into supersports or higher/heavier adv riding, there's still a lot of demand for smaller displacement dual sports regardless.

 

Just to create some closure here - I agreed with the person to trade, we set up a date and time for me to come get the bike from his place, when I asked for the address he ghosted me haha. I've followed up a few times, but no response... I guess it just wasn't meant to be.

But more bikes in similar condition will pop up like this and I appreciate those chiming in with your insight and knowledge.
