Well I went and traded in my KLR 650 on the KLX 250 today. Drove 4.5 hrs one way to get it, and it was worth the trip. I put 35 miles on it when I got home. Very smooth running machine , lacking in the torque department but has plenty of revs. Nothing I didnt already know. Cant wait to do the carb and other mods. Just thought I'd thank everyone for all the info on this bike. Looks like its a hot one, all 3 dealers in my area have sold out, thats one reason I took the road trip. the other is the deal I got, $4320 OTD.
So thanks to all my KLX 250s Brothers for helping me make the decision!

Joel

Congrats!

The stock bike is super smooth. After the mods, the extra power does add a little vibration, but it's more than worth it.

my dealer sold two on the same day to me and my best friend. This was over a month ago and they are still waiting to replace even one of them. The weather around here is getting nice and bike sales are going up in a hurry

My dealer sold it to me the day he got it, I called up and he said that he still had to put it together. He said the have been selling like crazy and they can't keep one in stock here in Georgia.
