I think the chrome thing looks fine ... not exactly my style, but it doesn't look bad IMO, and I think maybe it works well on your bike which mirror clean. On mine it just wouldn't look right, but I think it works on yours. How do you keep those radiator hoses so clean? On the relatively infrequent occasions when I hose my bike off, those parts _look_ clean when they are wet, but when they dry, it looks almost like I didn't even clean it at all.

Glad you had a good time, sounds like mrs deej had a good time too - my wife would've enjoyed a fancy yacht tour.

Oh, I became inducted while you were away ... check my new title in my sig I think we are the only two from the KLX section, are we not?

Yea sweet, we are taking over the world one post at a time As far as the hoses, I guess I just haven't gotten my hoses dirty like other guys here, but I gotta tell you, a good brush and purple cleaner or simple green, let it soak for a few minutes and hose off.

Gotta warn ya' bro! That's the first step you've taken towards . . . . "Pimp my KLX"! ! ! !

Now, not only do you have to wash your KLX 5 times a week, you need to buy some chrome polish!

What's next?

Perhaps a coolant cover replacement? Your choice, ribbed or plain.

A billet cover for you license plate?

Perhaps a cover for the bleeder nut on the front caliper?

Who knows, you might want to accentuate the exhaust cover with a new oil cap!

Hey does anyone know if I could rough up and paint the chrome heat shield? Maybe a bronze high heat paint?
