Something Cheaper Or Better Then OEM For That Part 43060 Or somewhere to have one custom made into one of them braided stainless steel line in just that short piece would work I'm guessing. I like to go by replace as little parts as possible they had intentions when making the bike I just like to look for ways to make it orginal looking but performing much better by replacing simple parts here and there. Why do a entire brake line when you can just do a small sections like they allready have made?

I know you said you only want the short bit that goes under the caliper but just have a look at thisit saves the same thing happening again.
Cheers

Nate, this is what I have:

http://fourstrokeworks.biz/

click on the "product catalog" selection at the top,
then click on the "body/lights/shielding" Icon
on the next screen, the 7th one down is the KLX Brake Line Guard - PT # FSW-BG.

It fits our bikes perfectly and covers the entire underside brake line.

Its a good cost effective option....
