The mounting bolts sticking out on the Ricochet are the reason I went with the Emperor. Too many things to catch on around here.
It was a bitch to mount the first go round, but now that it's been custom hammered to the bottom of my bike...it fits and mounts really well.
I do believe it is thicker than the Ricochet, but the materials might be of comparable strength anyway, I don't know.
