Would that KDX plate fit a 2012 KLX250s?

I might be able to lay my hands on material. I'll let you know what I come up with.

I doubt it. This one would be much more likely, and damn cheap, but no fasteners.

I had a flatland racing skid plate, but it didn't have the 'ears' on the sides, so when I bought the 2009 KLX250S for my son (with no skid plate), I moved my flatland to it and bought a Emperor Racing one for my KLX250s. The emperor skid plate is a very nice one, and as mentioned above tough as nails.

The Emperor Racing one has the mounting bolts up and out of the way - the flatland one had the mounting bolts countersunk into the plate - possibly not as strong, but they never got bashed up on rocks etc.

Yes, I saw that and had a good laugh. As ^ said, probably a lot of irons in the fire. He did answer a question specific to the plate.

It looks like the Ricochet with a bunch of holes drilled in it. A little lighter, and a lot more places to collect up the mud.

The weight difference appreciated by drilling holes is minimal. Not even worth describing.

You will want the 'wings', they protect the most vulnerable component.... the water pump. If that gets knocked out, you are done. And alone, way out in no where's, probably in a ditch.

That's what I thought, looked like a piece of Swiss cheese.
