Default Black Clarke Tank

Received a black Clarke tank today and I am not overly impressed with the overall appearance. Need the opinion of the other forum members out there that already own a black Clarke tank.
Am I being too ****, or is the finish of the tank that I received typical for the Clarke tank. I am not concerned about the "seam" along the top of the tank, but rather by the dents or divots in the plastic along the seam. Looks kinda crappy to me. What do you guys think.

It looks to me like they are using a wooden mould that is beginning to get beat up a bit (worn out)..there are discussions on here regarding the clarke tank, some have had fitment concerns, leaks, etc. Since the Clarke tank is still relatively new on the market, I feel they may not have committed to a good quality mould as yet until all the little quirks have been fixed. But others with the tank have stated they are really reasonable to deal with, so if you contacted them with your concerns, I am guessing they would be more than willing to help you out.

You won't be able to pick up the chicks with that thing hanging between your legs that's for sure.

The tank looks fine to me, stuff almost three gallons of fuel in it and enjoy the extra 50 miles of range, once you get it mounted and the cap on it won't look too bad.

It does not look pretty but is the best option we have thus far. At least they made something...I guess.

I think my black Clarke tank might have marks on it like that. I'm not sure really. All I care about is that it holds the gas that lets me ride.

Take that bike out and drop it in the dirt a few times, then the tank will look good next to the rest of the plastic!

It just doesnt seem durable from the pics. I need a tank either way so maybe time to just go for the plunge.

Not without re-routing the main wiring harness, repositioning the ignition coil and replacing the stock cooling fan with smaller, aftermarket units...or doing away with the fan altogether, which I wouldn't advise.

If you are willing to go to all of that trouble, it's doable, but why not just go with the IMS, which gives you 3.2 gal with the same mods?
