Bill's 351cc kit installed!!

Larger bore might require a higher flow injector, which isn't readily available.

I won't be holding my breath for any ecu/chips anytime soon. The 351 kit would probably be more power than I can handle right now anyway but it sounds sweet. I'll wait, observe, dream and save my pennies for the future. :-) For now my FI has plenty of for my ridding style but I might eventually get younger in the britches.
Oh, a little off topic but my 2BR M7 bolted up just fine and dandy right out of the box to my 09 Thai Spec FI unlike a report I have heard to the contrary that a new S-pipe was required. Only had to modify the S-pipe for the O2 sensor to mount and it runs great so far.

I pretty sure this has been covered, but I can't for the life of me find it here. I did a search (numerouse key words) and can't find it.
So, as an FNG I need some help with this question...
Question: With a stock set up and all free mods If I were to install the 350 kit, how would my top end be affected?
I ride probably 50/50 if not more on the street side. My educated guess would be that both top and bottom would improve, but I don't want to go and put down that kind of money if it doesn't improve the overall power band.
Thanks in advance....

The link above yours has the dyno charts on it, and according to those, the torque is very smooth throughout, giving much faster revs. Not sure how it would affect the top end, but I would run a 15T front to make the top speed higher on the street. With the extra torque down low, you would still have lots of pull and accelleration with the larger CS sprocket.

Thanks for the info, I hope you can shed some more light on the subject for me.

It would be more like doing the 13T, judging from the torque curve in the dyno chart. The major increase in torque with the 351 kit would overcome the larger front sprocket, and the little KLX would be a wheelie machine.

If you are riding a stock KLX-250S, a 13T front and 46T rear sprocket is a good option to "test the waters". I got a 108 link DID premium chaing for $~100 and JT Sprockets for ~$60. With the stock 14T front and 42T rear and the aftermarket 13T/46T you can play with a lot of torque options and get a feel for whether the big bore kit will give you what you want.
