Bill Blue Big Bore #1614 up and running.
Having owned my 2009 KLX250S for a few years I was leaning towards selling it and buying something with more power. A few weeks ago I read an article about Big Bore kits for the 250, soon after that I cam across info about Bill Blue on this forum. Research indicated there were a lot of satisfied owners of Bills Kits, I contacted Bill and sent him a check for his 351 Kit and Carb. While waiting for the parts to arrive I had the head rebuilt and new valves installed, at the same time I ordered a 3 gallon IMS gas tank and Seat Concepts memory foam seat cover. Three days ago the last of my parts arrived, I started the engine up two days ago for it's first heat soak and cool the took it for a ride today. I must admit is was difficult to keep the RPM's under 4500 RPM. My first ride was less than 20 miles however as half of it was up hill the increase in torque was very noticeable. I can't wait for the 100 mile break in to be over so I can see what it will really do. Headed to Moab next weekend to give it a good workout. Thanks all for the great info available on this site.

Side note, I just bought a 331 kit from Bill and there was no number on the sticker like I have seen on others posted. Maybe he is only numbering his 351 kits...
Is your kit numbered on the B&B Restoration sticker or somewhere else?

How funny is that? Bill must have gotten distracted when he was stamping my cyl. He got the B&B Cycle Restoration stamped across the base of the cylinder, and then half-way up the cylinder, he stamped the "#" sign and apparently never got back to stamping after he looked up what number he was on!!!
Wonder if all the different displacements are in the same number system or if the 331s are number separate from the 351s?
Thanks guys... I had been kinda wondering why I didn't have a serial #!
