Default Bike week 2008 in Laconia, NH

Well, its time to share my thoughts on my first 1000 miles, as well as a trip to Bike Week in Laconia.
First I have to admit, its been over 14 years since I was last on a street bike, and over 25 years since I got to play in the dirt. I had sport bikes, full dressers, Harleys, and even a couple recent Snowmobiles, and 4-wheelers.
It turns out this bike is exactly what I was looking for. I use it as my daily commuter, and then at night and on weekends I can ride the State Parks, and some old trails from way back when.
65 MPG has a place in my future, I hope the mods dont make the mileage drop to much, but hey, even if it drops to 55 MPG, how bad can that be.
I have done a few mods so far, K&N filter, no snorkel, a 13T sprocket. Now that I am over the break-in point, I will find the ca$h for a pipe, then jet the carb. So far the bike has performed beyond expectations.

I go to Laconia every year, and stopped bringing a bike in 1994, to much traffic, to many idiots, just wasnt worth bringing, so I would go up with a few buddys, drink beer, eat, chase girls, then start all over again. I decided to take the KLX, as I knew I could find some fun places to ride, so it landed in the back of the truck and away we went.
Took a cruise down to the Weirs, and figured I would park with everyone else, and see the reactions.
Lots of thumbs up, I was suprised.

I am wondering how I can post more pictures here, guess I need to post them on my blog, then use a link?
Says I am limited to 1 picture?

I tried answering him earlier, no luck. This is crazy, pretty amateurish really.

You need to get an account like photobucket.com or something.

Post your pictures to it.

When you post here, look at the formatting toolbar (bold, italics, underline, etc..) and you'll see a yellow icon at the end....looks like it has a mountain in it. Click that and you can enter a "direct link" from your photobucket account there. Do that X # of times and you can have as many pics in a post as you like.

Of course this forum is run on my Grandmother's 386, most likely running WinBlows so your milage may vary.

Steal your face right off yer head! :-)
